Responsabilities as Site Manager:

Role:
The post holder is responsible for effectively managing and controlling all aspects of the build process on a construction project, as specified.

Key Responsibilities:
•To comply with the Policies and Procedures of the company;
•Supervise and co-ordinate staff, Sub-Contractors, material suppliers and Utility providers to ensure an efficient method of build to the required build quality and build program;
•Scheduling work to be carried out to ensure production targets are achieved and high quality is maintained;
•Ensure that the targets are met whilst producing at the highest quality and ensuring costs are kept within budget;
•Comply with Site Managers responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and complete the relevant documentation on a weekly/monthly basis;
•Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organization’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company;
•Direct liaison with QHSE, Technical and Commercial departments ensuring that up to date records of all site activities are retained, thereby achieving cost/quality control;
•Lead, motivate, communicate, develop, appraise and performance managed staff to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company’s needs.

Requirements:

•Substantial experience of the full life cycle of a number of building projects, involving the supervision of the project and the staff working on it
•Construction Engineering degree, plus at least 5 years site based work experience as Site Manager/ Section Manager;
•Analytical skills to be able to understand and interpret complex technical specifications, drawings and documents and formulate plans from them;
•Written communication and very good PC skills to be able to write reports and complete paperwork/administration;
•Verbal communication skills to enable effective communication at all levels
•Able to develop good relationships with clients/client representatives;
•Understanding of all the health and safety proposal and able to apply health, safety and security requirements;
•Commercial approach, identifies cost savings, understands budget issues;
•People management skills, to be able to instruct staff, deal with difficulties;
•Staffing situations and maintain a productive, happy but disciplined working environment;
•Pro-active good at planning ahead as far as possible as the project progresses, checking back to plans/program regularly;
•Strong sense of achievement; able to drive projects forward, expects good standards of work, tenacious, and able to overcome barriers/ solve problems;
•Organized, good at time management and prioritization of work;
•Reliable, punctual and responsible.
