Required Skills/Experience for QA Engineer

3+ years experience in software development, testing and support;
Experience in testing web-based applications – frontend and backend
Financial Services Domain knowledge is a plus
A good understanding of the software development process
Understanding of web / application servers, .Net Technologies, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, SQL is a plus
Attention to details
Experience creating, executing and maintaining automated test scripts with tools such as Visual Studio, Selenium
Use of tracking/testing tools such as Redmine, Jira
Excellent skills in Test planning, designing, and test strategy/case/script creation and execution;
Experience with integration & regressions testing and coordination with supporting systems;
Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures;

Duties & Responsibilities

Review functional specification and design documents;
Plan, design, and author effective test cases
Run functional tests, customer scenario testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing
Develop automated tests for test cases and integrate automations into test suites
Design and develop tools for test management, execution and reporting to enhance the overall software testing process
Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design, product evaluation and quality assurance
Review computer operating log to identify program processing errors.
Observe computer monitoring/performance metrics during program test to detect error codes or interruption of program.
Provide support for developers or any other team member;
Think of better solutions or designs, and come up with suggestions to improve our environment
