Job description for .NET (C#, ASP.NET) Developer
Summary:
The .Net (C#, ASP.NET) developer will be required to undertake software design, development, and deployment tasks for our customers. The role may also require the maintenance, support, and upgrading of existing applications. The candidate needs to able to apply excellent communication and analytical skills and knowledge of software development best practices with the ability to work on their own initiative when required.
Education and Training Requirements:
A university degree is the minimum academic requirement. In addition we expect a minimum of 2-3 years of software development experience. We expect a strong level of expertise in .Net technologies but most important is a practical experience, interest and ability to understand and an appetite to work with a wide range of technologies.
Previous experience developing large, scalable web application in .Net technologies.
Experience required in .Net Web Applications (c#) and MS SQL Server.
Experience in .Net MVC, .Net Forms, Windows Workflow Foundation and Entity Framework is a plus.
Previous experience with Umbraco CMS will also be considered as a plus.
Good knowledge and understanding of XSLT pattern, Microsoft AJAX, JQuery, Javascript etc .
Very good understanding of MS SQL database architecture and strong experience in using it in large scale .Net applications.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
The candidate must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working as part of a team. The candidate must be comfortable with multi tasking in a quickly changing environment with the ability to quickly assimilate and evaluate complex requirements with a view to giving relevant feedback to management.
Working Conditions:
Work is in a standard office setting, is 40 hours a week with minimum travel requirements and occasional out of hours contact in an emergency situations. There is no routine expectation of long hours.
Salary:
The salary is subject to negotiation in line with the skill set of the candidate.
