Responsabilities as Senior Architect:

• Oversees and plans and all architectural aspects of the construction projects
• Creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications
• Responsible for final specifications, approval of ordered materials, and overall guidance on objectives and concepts
• Leads the designing of all architectural aspects of construction projects. Reviews final specifications, approves ordered materials, and provides overall guidance on objectives and concepts
• Presents designs to clients in order to ensure satisfaction and makes revisions as necessary
• Approves the work of junior design staff, and may serve as designer for more complex or larger projects
• Approves technical documentation such as drawings and specifications for construction projects. Develops project budgets and work schedules
• Supervises the architectural design of complex buildings and structures
• Advises others on practical, aesthetic and social considerations in architectural design projects
• Develops project objectives, schedules and performance benchmarks in architectural design
• Consults on the effective organization of components and materials in architectural design
• Trains others on structured processes to maximize the efficiency of architectural design
• Liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects
• Directs the selection of appropriate techniques according to different types of design work
• Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction
• Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget
• Travelling regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.

Requirements:

• You have a degree in Architecture and at least 8 years of relevant working experience in design;
• You have worked on complex building works before (Office Buildings, Shopping Malls, Hospitals, etc);
• Experience in managing retail projects – is a plus;
• You identify with our core competencies by possessing an entrepreneurial mind, showing flexibility, being innovative and result-oriented while promoting teamwork;
• You equally possess excellent communication skills, an analytical mind and you are client focused;
• CAD Suite (Autocad, AllPlan, Tekla), MEF (Etabs, SAP,etc);
• You have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite;
• You are fluent in English (speech and writing). Additional languages are an asset;
• High levels of creativity, imagination and vision;
• A keen interest in the built environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion;
• Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD);
• A keen eye for the detail of specific tasks, combined with an understanding of how such specifics fit in with the project as a whole;
• Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks;
• Leadership skills as well as the ability to work well within a team of other professionals.
